Visiting Students

International students or graduates can apply for a study place for up to two semesters as Visiting Students. Visiting Students are non-programme students and therefore must apply directly to the individual ABK Stuttgart study departments. It is possible for visiting students to take examinations and receive credits for their studies with approval from faculty members. Proof of previous studies and experience in the relevant study area is a pre-requisite. Please send your Visiting Student application to the Department Secretary of your study area.

Applications must include the Application form (pdf), a detailed C.V., a portfolio (at least 10 pieces of current work, no originals), copy of passport including visa (non-EU residents), 1 passport photo, a letter of motivation, proof of health insurance, transcript of records and must be sent no later than 15th June or 15th December (postmark will be regarded as proof) to the following address:

Fees
Visiting Students are required to pay tuition fees plus an administration fee per semester. Starting from the winter semester 2017/2018 the tuition fees for non-EU international students will be EUR 1,500 and EUR 150 per semester for EU international students. It is important to note that as a Visiting Student of the Academy, you will be responsible für all practical and financial aspects of your stay in Stuttgart.
