Bending towards a touch of magic. Everyday objects blend into our subconscious minds throughout their life spams and become unnoticed at some point. The project began with looking at nonverbal communication methods found in human interaction, such as postures and gestures. Later on, these studies were applied into three Objects in order to change our perception of everyday objects.

Reflective Canvas: Reflections are often seen as a form of narcissism. Through various bends, the reflective surface takes the shape like folded paper or an open book. Using stubble bends, a collage from the surroundings is created. The mirror not only reflects the viewer but ties in the environment, taking away from the narcissism and creating a picture which shows more than just the self.

Dancing Flames: The candles unlike others remind of their presence. They work with the characteristic of wax and use its material attributes, to bring the candle into a new perception. Using its flexible ability when hot, the candles are shaped to swing with balance. Due to the unpredictable manner of the flow, the candle sets itself into movement, in order to balance the two sides out. It enhances the flickering flame in a minimal manner, creating a sense of company.

Posture Vase: Ikebana is a type of flower arrangement method found in Japan. Where posture plays a big role in the art of arrangement. The Posture Vase projects both the meditative aspect of arranging flowers as well as the one that we are used to. However, the traditional vase silhouette works with the weight of the individual flower and bends and breaks symmetry depending on its weight, swinging back and forth and giving the vase a touch of life as if the flower were to be on the meadow in the wind. Also setting the water into motion creating a calming reflection.
