Prof. Christophe de la Fontaine

Brief Vita

Since 2018 professor for Industrial Design at the Stuttgart State Academy of Arts and Design.

Christophe de la Fontaine is co-founder and owner of Dante – Goods and Bads, GmbH, a German based furniture and home accessory brand with international reputation, together with his partner, contemporary artist Aylin Langreuter. Starting his education with a diploma as a sculptor at LTAM in Luxemburg he completed his studies with a degree in industrial design, taught by Richard Sapper, from ABK Stuttgart.

After a journey at London based Therefore – product design consultant and Piero Lissoni Associati in Milan, he headed the design department at the studio of Patricia Urquiola until 2010.
Working independently as a product designer ever since he has received numerous international awards, including the red dot award, the Good Design award and the iF GOLD DESIGN AWARD while being listed by Wallpaper* among the world’s 100 best designers in 2015.
